Sunday 6th October
Longchamp 3.20 Arc - 1 mile 4 furlongs - Soft - 16 run
At the top of the market we have Los Angeles for AP O'Brien and Sosie and Look De Vega for the French, all 3 year olds who will be fully tested in this big field in the mud.
Of those 3 year olds elsewhere in the field I'm actually far more taken by the proven stamina, Going form and evidence and Course form of BLUESTOCKING (Beckett and Rossa Ryan for UK) and AVENTURE for the French who have lovely Stall Draws in 3 and 4 respectively. Of the pair I narrowly favour BLUESTOCKING!
Elsewhere are a couple of 4 year olds who both ran in the race last year and whose form this year doesn't exactly jump off the page but who may well have been targeted very specifically here, FANTASTIC MOON drawn in Stall 2 was 11th last year stuck in traffic from a high draw and could run a massive race from that Stall, CONTINUOUS was 5th last year and running on at the end, he's had a quiet season but the 33/1 really appeals with Soumillon riding for AP!
My 1-2-3 is BLUESTOCKING / CONTINUOUS / FANTASTIC MOON with the 4th rated Aventure as reserve (RJ)

Uttoxeter 4.45 Handicap Chase 3 miles - Class 5 - 12 run - Good to Soft (rain later)
Ballyrashane should ensure an end to end true pace gallop here and there are three of the 12 runners who caught my eye.
Getthepot a long term and frustrating TRACKER suddenly came up trumps at 14/1 last time (no longer tracked) can he repeat it off a 5lbs penalty, I'm not sure but he has pace chances and was my third rated so reserve.
GET WITH IT who has placed the last 3 times but who is nothing special and PRINCE CLENI who has Course and Distance place form on Good to Soft and a win elsewhere at the trip though looks very solid each way value and gets the nod with Get With It an each way or win saver of you wish.(Robin)
