WARWICK 2.23 Mares Maiden Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 5 furlongs - Good to Sort - 12 run

This is a type of race I have been used to attacking and with relish on occasions and today throws up one very interesting contender. Now I'm with SP2A I will also have some excellent added feedback from our Irish boys about Irish P2P form, and in this race there is one very interesting runner on 2 counts.

The market is dominated by a pair of Skeltons ex Irish 3 mile P2P recruits and another for Mulholland and at first glance they (Jayapura / Lady Jago and Hill of Scariff) look nailed on to finish 1-2-3 . They may well do but my eyes are very much on another.

AN CAILIN CLUIN has some very interesting Irish 3 mile P2P form and probably as solid as the other three above, interesting that she runs for Henrietta Knight and a look at the Irish form collaterally with 3-4 who she has beaten or been beaten narrowly by, suggests to me that this Mare is likely capable of running off a mark of between 100 and 110 when fully tuned up. In a field where many have very little to recommend them, I think a small each way bet is a sound option and this is one I will definitely be TRACKING forwards (RJ)

--------

WARWICK 3.30 Handicap Hurdle - Class 3 - 2 miles 5 furlongs - 11 run - Good to Soft

The pair to beat here are Long Draw and Guard The Moon and of the pair is I had to go for a win saver it would be on LONG DRAW and at 3/1 or higher that would be a wise move.

I think that the likes of Harjo; Don Hollow and Panhandle Slim will be winning races at some point but all three will likely need this race to get them tuned up.

The pair I'm most interested in therefore today with some proven fitness from recent spins are HALIFAX who drops in trip but who should be staying on best of all as some of the others possibly take a blow and who looks handicapped well enough to take advantage on this occasion of the proven stamina and race fitness and at bigger odds GRIS MAJEUR who returned after a long absence with some promise last time out and whose earlier form suggests that a mark of 105 here, having won off 107 and placed off 110 over Course and Distance, could see a run in to a place if stripping fitter...I will TRACK this one forwards too (Robin)

CLONMEL 4.55 Handicap Hurdle - 16 run - Yielding

An abnormal number of mares in here to take on the boys and three in the TRACKER of which I think Dunleer Phoenix may still need the run but definitely one to keep onside and Deias Pet may need to prove stamina over this far but again one to keep a close eye on.

Mustameet Secret at a big price ran with promise at this time last season and this mare is one I have added the the TRACKER from today as are a pair of longer term prospects in Jetaway to Getaway and Bodybuilder.

Craic Eile is upped in trip on what might not be ideal Going, Cafe Del Mar is a danger but two trips up the steep climb here may expose stamina concerns, Crossing The Bar would have a shout on UK form but is a bit of a mystery until we see how the form transfers to Irish racing and the likely favourite, BEGGARS ROCK is the one they all have to beat IF he can replicate his last run at Down Royal....at 9/4 I'll leave that query to your personal discretion IF you want a win saver.

I have 2 against this 16 runner field and one of them is the other CURRENT TRACKER horse is STELLAR SYMPHONY - this one will surely improve for a recent return and in past seasons has proven one to follow after a prep run, winning and placing last Autumn and one who has no excuses today off a mark of 90 with a good 5lbs Claimer up.

The other selection at bigger odds is MULLANOUR who is a 3 mile P2P winner, has had 4 runs under Rules over inadequate trips and upped to 3 miles here. I have something stronger than a sneaky suspicion that this horse could be better than average in the longer term. (Sean)
