Wincanton 3.10 Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 3 miles 2 and 1/2 furlongs - 13 run Good to Soft > Soft

 

No Going concerns here it will be Good to Soft to Soft, some drizzly rain possible. THis is a turning right handed track and with 20 plus obstacles to jump I really would never want to take too short a price.

 

At the top end of the market both Jony Max and School For Scandal have collateral form here and are understandably well fancied but I think there are rivals with more scope on nice marks who are far better market value and with Caeruleum also a short price and a solid contender beaten by some nice horses admittedly in recent run, also at a short price, I will take on the top 3 here.

 

At bigger Odds, I am going to TRACK forwards Marettimo who has a 3 miles Chase win off a mark of 105 but who I think would prefer a firmer surface, a mark of 95 with a 5lbs claim is hard to entirely overlook and he is my 3rd best rated for anyone who fancies a small side punt. Dindin has flattered to deceive a few times and although it does have a Course win at shorter and is off a declining mark, despite being convinced he may find a level at some point he can win off, not for me today reluctantly. Always Busy also has claims on Hurdle form but didn't look an assured jumper on Chase debut. There is time for this once to settle into the chasing game and it certainly has an engine but this 22 fence race may just test that inexperience over the bigger obstacles. Safe Destination is probably best at 3 miles and this revised mark after some decent runs together with the stamina concerns just puts me off.

 

My clear top 2 rated and decent each way value are LANGLEY HUNDRED who is in the Tracker system (see below) , top weight in form but still well handicapped and the one I want to be on more than any of the others. MOONLIGHT ARTIST is on a nice mark based on Hurdles form, needed a seasonal debut that was also its Chasing debut but a hore bred to be a Chaser and a significant improvement after the pipeopener would be no surprise (Robin)

In the Mares Novice Hurdle at 1.05 there are some nice sorts mainly from the National HUnt flat scene, Game Colours has had 2 nice runs and might be the best each way to finish in the 1-2-3 if more than 8 runners race. The better longer term types though for your TRACKER might be Honeywort and Reaita Liath both of whom have some promising P2P form and well worth following (not tips I must stress) (Robin)
