Limerick 3.30 - Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles 1/2 furlong - 14 run - Good to Yielding
The top 3 in the market here are Beggars Rock who should get the trip but about whom I'd have real concerns if the rain arrives and at the price I don't think sufficient confidence for a "win bet" and the same applies to True Destiny, who may struggle to get the trip after 2 steep climbs up to the back straight and Mr McWhinney another who would be disadvantaged by any rain. Of them possibly True Destiny would be the most likely to win, but enough doubts in my mind to take them on.
Container Madness has trip and Going concerns but could play a part; as could Kiln Time; who has raced well here over shorter and who was my 3rd best rated (nice reserve) and who is worth another go at 3 miles. Imboic is a nice price and not lightly discounted as a Course regular but this is the first time he's tried 3 miles.
My top 2 rated are both at the bottom at the bigger priced end of the market but if you put the blinkers on the market prices and focus purely on form, I think both are overpriced.
ANOTHER NIGHTMARE has needed its 2 recent runs, did win over 3 miles at Listowel last season off a mark of 91 and was penalised for that, now fully fit and back below that winning mark, runs off 89 with a 4lbs Claimer up, I will be disappointed if this one is not in the first 4 home. JOHN STOREY is only a 6 year old and has limited experience but has shaped increasingly as if he could have some ability and the latest effort was most promising and he looks a horse with a bit of scope to follow (Sean)
