KILLARNEY 8.20 Handicap - 1 mile 6 and 1/2 furlongs - 15 run - Good to Firm

I've considerable doubts about the market value of Final Orders, upped 9lbs on a rare Flat run and Young Lucy , hard to figure why the price is what it currently is and also Chutzpal. Whispering hopes is an unexposed Elliot type and he had a double on the Card yesterday so is not lightly discarded and was my 4th best rated. Calmafterthestorm was a 33/1 winner at Down Royal last time and gets an 8lbs penalty and this track and Down Royal would be polar opposites so I think another who is opposable. Gleaning is only worthy of mention due to connections. IF there is a dark horse it's first reserve Charlie Darling and I'll be concerned if he runs and he would be worth a small side-stake possibly if he does.

I have a clear top 3 rated though, 15 runners and reserves so go with the top 2 if you wish, but with enhanced places I'll list the 3rd top rated too.

I'm VERY keen on GRACESOLUTION who had two fine placed runs before being very unlucky in running last time out, I think that form can be marked up and with better luck here it'll be very disappointing if the horse doesn't win this. CHATTERBOX has Course and Distance place form and Course placedform over shorter, as we mentioned yesterday it is a specialsts Course and off a very nice mark and returning to the Flat, the booking of Colin Keane does nothing to temper enthusiasm.

The veteran WILD SHOT looks over-priced and is now back with John McConnell bang on a solid winning mark in the mid 50's, not one to discount lightly (Sean)

BATH 4.30 Handicap Class 6 - 1 mile 6 furlongs - 13 run - Good

A lot of rain in the vicinity earlier in the week and I think the going may be softer than advertised.

That just puts me off the hot favourite Miss Gitana for Mark Prescott whose best form is on Good to Firm Going. Implaccable has scope to improve and will be a danger along with Tailorman for the in form Ian Williams who makes Course debut. The rain may also have not helped the dangerous Russian Rumour a Course and Distance winner in the past in solid overall form. Dovena is another who might be returning to foem, Hidden Pearl won last time out and carries a penalty but usually runs best first time out and fresh. It is a very competitive field as you can see!

Masterdream @ 25/1 (B365) is my 3rd top rated and has a mixed Course and Distance record but off a mark of 66, any price of 20/1 or higher looks very generous, so he will be my reserve if either of the following don't run.

I do think though that conditions are tailormade here for both CHERRY COLA and BEGGARMAN.

CHERRY COLA is a Course an Distance winner and is a Course and Distance specialist. A mark of 64 is ideal as is Good or Good to Soft going, I can't find any excuse not to invest. BEGGARMAN is another who runs well over Course and Distance regularly placed and solid form. It's dropped just below 60, off a mark of 59 and that stands out as does the form with a bit of cut in the ground and again, I'll be very disappointed if not placing at the very least. (TA)
