There is racing today at Bath and Nottingham on grass (Flat); at Wetherby over the Jumps and on AW at Newcastle plus a meeting in Ireland.
It is a typically moderate end of Flat season day and frankly disappointingly small fields to at Wetherby, so we will remain prudent with 3 mentions with TRACKER horses.
Here is the Logic-:
Bath 2.20 FITZWILLY - has been well backed but still 8/1 and along with OUR FOLLY has some Course and Distance form, the booking of SD-S is an asset, though perhaps not significant given his connections to Mick Channon. The handicap mark and conditions look ideal; Divin Bere could be thrown in, but the fact it has come here may indicate that PFN thinks it is short of a piece of work and fancies a blow on soft turf.
BATH 4.30 WHINGEING WILLIE - won for us last October, indeed has won every year since 2012 and striking how many of those wins have been in the last few months of the year. That indicates that the horse possibly comes to itself now, could also mean the crafty old Trainer plays the "handicap game" to perfection. Ran striking better race last time and this trip may now be ideal. (some very early value is noted with 2-3 bookies)
NEWCASTLE 5.10 ELITE ICON - we tipped this at Ayr last week and it came to deliver a challenge a couple of furlongs out before fading. Jim Goldie specifically said in a pre-race interview that the horse had arrived with a few niggles in to his yard and would need the run. They get him out quickly which indicates he may be bouncing at home and he has experience on Tapeta both here and at Wolverhampton and has a sporting each way chance.
