Wednesday 28th November

In the 2.50 at Wetherby AGE OF GLORY is a Course and Distance winner, runs off a nice mark and rain won't harm its chances. Fitness has to be taken on trust a bit but I doubt Brian Hughes would be up unless the Agent had been convinced the horse was fit to run very well and he has won in the past, on debut for this trainer off a longer break of 241 days, so worth a small each way punt.

The 2 mile 6 furlong Handicap Chase at Punchestown is perhaps the best betting heat of the day and a lot to choose from of discernible quality. I do like a speculative small punt in these races and will go right down to the base of the market at big odds for OSCAR LANTERN, had no chance in Cork National last time but run will have helped. This is right Grade and Trip and the horse is a Course winner off a mark of 107 and consistent around that level. Runs off 110 here with a decent 3 lbs Claimer up and now fit after 2 runs and with that proven Course form is worth a small poke. The other one who catches the eye is veteran MTADA SUPREME, this usually competes in "Bank Races" a kind of Irish Cross Country and is solid in that sphere and fit from it, has occasionally run well under Rules including here and was a runner up last May of a mark of 111 here, runs off 100, no stamina or fitness concerns and could stay on in to a place if utilising 3 mile stamina.

That's all for today, we did look at the 3.05 at Hereford and would be most hopeful of Moorlands George and Copperface Jack but just too many imponderables in that race to have enough confidence for a tip or mention.
