TIPPERARY 8.20 - Handicap (Flat) - 1 mile 4 and 1/2 furlongs - 18 run - Good to Firm

 

There might be a big priced dark horse in this field but frankly I can't find anything at bigger odds to get excited about.

 

ELSAS PRIDE would be good win value at anything around 3/1 or higher and I will definitely have a win bet accordingly.

 

With 18 runners and enhanced places the only other pair I would be interested in, for e/w purposes are HINEMOA who has form at the trip on the AW at Dundalk and who delivered that to turf with a good placed run last time and BLACK SOUL who has encouraging Course and Course and Distance form and one of the few with that sort of form evidence (MG)

EPSOM 8.30 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 4 furlongs - 15 run - Good to Firm

 

A competitive handicap here and 3 very much caught my eye at nice e/w prices.

 

At the top of the market though Our Papa Smurf for Gary moore who is upped in trip but may not like Good to Firm is feared, along with Standbackandlook who makes Course debut, Thursday who has won and placed last twice so gets a 5lbs penalty,Angel On High who might just be stretched by this trip and Robert Walpole who runs well at Brighton but makes Course debut here.

 

Another horse in form but who has been poor here on 3 runs so far is The Conquerer and Imperial Cult would have a squeak at bigger odds on some AW form lines.

 

FULLFORWARD is in the TRACKER and looks to have a very solid chance of justifying that faith, my only niggle is that it has no headgear tonight and that usually coincides with its best runs, I can't over-think that though, so he gets a confident enough vote. GILBERT was a runner up over 10 furlongs last time he ran here, off a basement mark of 46 with a 5lbs claimer up he has a very good chance of at least matching that over this longer trip.

 

I'm very keen on one at a big price though and that is STOPNSEARCH, this one has decent AW form at the trip,and if you go back to August 2022 hidden away a little is a runner up effort here at Epsom over 10 furlongs off a mark of 62. It runs off a stone lighter here (47) and it's one of those niggling ones that you want to invest in and can't scratch the itch away.... my 3rd rated and despite only 15 runners, there are enhanced places, so I'd encourage a small added e/w bet (TA)
