Kempton 1.45

THE ADVISOR - Kempton 1.45 - Handicap Chase - Class 2 - 3 miles - 15 Run - Good to Soft (allegedly)

This is the second preference for Slate House and West Approach who I assume won't run, both would have been of major interest otherwise.

Coo Star Sivola lurks on a nice mark, still quite young but looks regressive although on 2017/18 form would be a big danger. I have a hunch (no more than that) it could revive a bit here. Another who could be running in to form is Double Shuffle for Tom George but the Going if tacky just puts me off today, TWO FOR GOLD is I think the one they all have to beat for Kim Bailey and David Bass, trip / mark / going but it did seem to suddenly lose confidence jumping last time, the fences here can come at you very quickly and at the price I'd worry about that confidence not being fully restored. There are easier places to hunt round and regain surety.

So I'll side with COMMODORE for Venetia who has enlisted Brian Hughes, I really can't find any excuses for this horse in terms of trip, going, mark and the jockey booking and a better profile right handed leaves no excuses if it doesn't deliver. I think ROCCO is value too, a 3 mile P2P winner on yielding and the step back up in trip is very logical for Sam and Nigel T-D and I also have a hunch KING OF REALMS who ran well in this race last year could be primed and ready to outrun double figure Odds.

TIP - COMMODORE / Trackers - Rocco + King of Realms.
