POINTERS (Ian)

 

Newmarket 2.05 - a big 2 year old race with some at massive prices. One fact I always look at is the number of 2 year old winners some of the big yards send out and the sheer number of 2 year olds they could put in races like this who may be later developers or kept for the race and the very significant prize.

 

Richard Hannon and Karl Burke absolutely match that logic and trend and both CUBAN SLIDE @ 66/1  and COMMANDER CROUCH @ 25/1 look to be very nice e/w prices and I just ask myself why they would be here IF connections didn't have some quiet confidence . Shrapnel e/w is the suggested bet. (almost all bookie enhance to 4th)

 

Curragh 5.15 - a high Draw has been an advantage at this trip for most of the season and again it's a case of looking for the "most likely" to take advantage outside of the top 3-4 in the market with some price value, in this case I am very much drawn to TRANSCENDENTAL @ 14/1  and PINA DEL RIO @ 20/1  who both have some solid if unspectacular form credentials to suggest they can take advantage of the bias IF it is a bias! - Shrapnel e/w is the suggested bet. (Sky + B365 enhance to 6th / majority to 5th)
